Grand Saline, Texas. Services for John W. Whisenhunt, 75, Grand Saline are scheduled for 2:P.M. Thursday, at the Sand Flat Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Wilbanks officiating.

Burial will be in San Flat Cemetary in Grand Saline under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline.

Mr. Whisenhunt died Tuesday morning in the Grand Saline Hospital after a sudden illness.

Mr. Whisenhunt was a native of Star City, Lincoln County Arkansas, born May 27, 1902, to Joseph L Whisenhunt and Leona E (Crotts) Whisenhunt, a long time Grand Saline resident, lived many years in Irving Tx., a member of the Sand Flat Baptist Church, and Woodman of the World.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Irene Whisenhunt of Grand Saline; four sons, Harold Whisenhunt, Irving, James Whisenhunt Fruitvale, and Billy Whisenhunt of Dallas, and Jerry Whisenhunt, New Orleans, La.; three daughters, Faye Marie Douthitt, Yuma, Arz., Cynthia Ann Hall, Grand Saline, and Sue Vanderhoof of Irving; one sister Mrs. Mary Carpenter of Grand Saline; and 16 grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by, Brothers Joseph E Whisenhunt and Fred Warren Whisenhunt, Arthur C Whisenhunt, James J Whisenhunt, four sisters Ollie Mae Whisenhunt, Martha E Whisenhunt, Lula E Whisenhunt, and Bessie Lee Oates Elkins.
