Funeral services for Leroy WHISENHUNT, 79, of Long were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Mineral Springs Free Will Baptist Church, with the Revs. Curtis Mitchell and Charles Ogden officiating. Burial was in Long Cemetery, under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mr. WHISENHUNT was born July 10, 1920, in Long, to Benjamin Franklin WHISENHUNT and Sarah (BARRICKS) WHISENHUNT. He died Friday, Jan. 14, 2000, in a Fort Smith, Ark., hospital. Survivors include his wife, Wilma Ethel (MONTGOMERY) WHISENHUNT of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Helen and Larry; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry Dale and Debra, and John Franklin and Brenda; one sister Maudie; two brothers, Buster and Jack; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. Mr. WHISENHUNT was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Lee Ray WHISENHUNT; two sisters, Ada WYLIE and Myrtle WHISENHUNT; and two brothers, Harvey and Earnest WHISENHUNT.
