James Elbert Whisenant
James Elbert Whisenant 97, of Clinton, Arkansas passed away Sunday, October 4, 2009 at Ozark Health Medical Center Clinton, Arkansas.
He was born September 4, 1912 at Elby, Arkansas to the late James R. and Minnie Neldon Whisenant.
Elbert was a U.S. Army Air Corp veteran of World War II and was of the Baptist faith. He was a member of the Patterson Masonic Lodge # 111.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Geneva Ruth Smith Whisenant, brother, George Whisenant, sister, Lillie Mae Bowling.
He is survived by his daughter, Patsy Tester and husband Darvil of Clinton, AR; son, Jimmy Whisenant and wife Vickie of Clinton, AR; six grandchildren, Tommy Elbert Davis, Pamela Davis Hill, Tony Erin Davis, Kara McBroom, Justin Green, and Jake Whisenant, twelve great grandchildren, Jeff and Stephanie Davis, Colton, Dakota, and Audrey Hill, Shelby, Cody, and Colter Davis, Lauren, Luke, and Lynsee McBroom, and Laycee Green, and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Casketbearers: Tommy Davis, Jeff Davis, Justin Green, Colton Hill, Bobby Hill, and Derick McBroom.
Honorary Casketbearers: Hubert Smith, Darvil Tester, Tony Davis, Wallace Hoyle, Jay Bowling, Jimmy Joe Bowling, and Jake Whisenant.
Burial was at Pleasant Grove Cemetery Scotland, AR with U.S. Army Military Honors and Masonic Rites by Patterson Masonic Lodge # 111.
