Carl David Whisenant
1929 - 2009

Carl was born on September 24, 1929 and passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2009.

He is survived by his wife Joyce.

Carl was last known to be living in Goldsboro, North Carolina.

Carl served his country in WWIl as a gunner s mate on the Battleship Massachusetts. He went on to serve in the Korean War, the Vietnam War, and the military operations in the Dominican Republic. During his military career, he served in the U. S. Navy and retired from the U. S. Air Force. He started Whis Realty in 1965, which he co-owned with his wife, Joyce. He was a past president of the Goldsboro Civitans, and past Commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Funeral services will be Sunday at 4:00 PM from the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home. A graveside service will be Monday at 12:00 PM at the Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, NC. with full military honors.
