Jimmie Ruth Whisenhunt

Services for Jimmie Ruth Whisenhunt, 76, of Sherman who passed away Sunday, December 5, 2004 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 9, 2004 at Waldo Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joan Humphries of the First United Methodist Church in Bells, Texas officiating.

Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery near Ivanhoe, Texas.

Family night is scheduled for 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 8, 2004.

She was born on January 11, 1928 in Fannin County, Texas, to the late Samuel Fane and Mary (Culbreath) Melugin. Jimmie married Floyd Allen Whisenhunt on May 1, 1951 in Durant, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Whisenhunt worked for GTE Telephone for over 30 years.

She is survived by her cousins, Dorothy Simmons of Carrollton, Texas, Shirley Bailey of Dallas, Texas, Charles Melugin of Greenville, Texas, Elizabeth Shelton and Jewell Wood, both of California, and Janet Francis of Bells, Texas. She is also survived by her nephew, David Whisenhunt and wife, Elain and several other cousins, nieces and nephews, and special friends, Sam Stephens, Tina Stephens and Kobi Stephens. Jimmie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Samuel and Glenn Allen Melugin.

Pallbearers will be Randy Brooks, David Whisenhunt, Sam Stephens, Jeff Francis, Scott Francis and Don Francis.
