Tony Ezer Whisenhant

Tony Ezer Whisenhant went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, June 25, 2005. Tony was born August 26, 1915 in Anahuac, Texas and resided in Kountze, Texas from 1943 until her death. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest A. Whisenhant, parents, John and Ernestine Ezer, two brothers, Charles and Joe Ezer and sister, Annie Muller. She is survived by a son, Gene Whisenhant and wife Jo Ann of Kountze; daughters, Ernestine Tevis of Lumberton and Vivian Overstreet and husband, Winston of Segno; brothers, John Ezer and Sonny Ezer both of Anahuac and one sister, Rosie Ward of Tarkington Prairie. Tony is also survived by ten grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, seven nephews, six nieces, and a host of friends and extended family members. The family would like to thank the staff of the Kountze Nursing Home and all of her friends for the love and care shown to Tony in her time of illness. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 28, 2005, at 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Kountze with burial to follow at the Old Hardin Cemetery.
