Cherolyn Mull Whisenant

Cherolyn Geneva Mull Whisenant, 78 of Morganton went home to be with the Lord Sunday, August 1, 2010 at Grace Hospital.

She was born in Burke County, on July 17, 1932 to the late Conley J. and Rosalie Crump Mull.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister with a strong work ethic. She retired from Sara Lee after 44 years of service. She was a member of Zion Baptist Church. She could can beans, corn, tomatoes, jellies, and chow-chow like no other. She also made the best fried apple pies, and she will be missed very much by her family.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Calvin Whisenant of the home; her daughters Karen Sue Wilson and her husband Gene; and Gina Lynn Pritchard; a brother Conley Curtis Mull Jr. and his wife Audrey; a sister Carolyn Ruth Mull; and grandchildren Lucas Wilson, Chelsea Pritchard and Daniel Pritchard.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 4, 2010 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Zion Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Zion Baptist Church.

Burial will follow in church cemetery.
