Ivan Whisenhunt
Ivan Whisenhunt, 71, of Hopper died June 16 1978.
He was born April 19, 1907, at Fancy Hill in Montgomery County, the son of Jack Whisenhunt and Nancy Belle Waggoner Whisenhunt. He had lived his entire life in the Hopper community, was a retired timber worker and a Holiness.
Survivors include his wife, Myrtis Mae Cogburn Whisenhunt of Hopper; two sons, Jack Whisenhunt and Edward Whisenhunt, both of Caddo Gap; one daughter, Janet Whisenhunt of Hot Springs; one brother, Jay Whisenhunt of Eureka; one stepsister, Mrs. Iva Varner of Amity; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were June 19 in the Hopper Church of Christ with the Rev. Marvin Black officiating. Burial was in Hopper Cemetery by Davis Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Steve Cogburn, Vernon Cogburn, Curtis Cogburn, Gary Hardin, David James and Rex Cockrell.
