Sylvia McAbee Whisenant

Sylvia McAbee Whisenant, 82, of East Main Street, formerly of 38 Lucille Court, died Wednesday, December 5, 2007, at Eden Terrace. Born May 1, 1925, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Nettie Sanders McAbee and the wife of the late John Edgar Whisenant, Jr. She was a retired realtor and of the Presbyterian faith.

She is survived by two sons, John Edgar Whisenant, III of Spartanburg, and Marc Joseph Whisenant and his wife Peggy of Columbia.

Visitation will be 10-10:45 a.m. Friday, December 7, 2007, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Cash and Anita Jennings. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
