Melvin Trenton Whisenhunt

Melvin Trenton Whisenhunt, 58, of the 200 block of Melonie Drive, a retired field supervisor, died June 21, 1991, in a Norfolk hospital.

Mr. Whisenhunt, a native of Ardmore, Okla., retired from Tidewater Coal Inspection Bureau. He was a Catholic and a member of Portsmouth Moose Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Palos Whisenhunt; a daughter, in Kingsland, Ga.; two sons, one in Lacey, Wash., and one in Chesapeake; and a brother, Buster G. Whisenhunt of Tennessee.

The graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Randy Rule. Friends may join the family at Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
