Harold D Whisenhunt

Funeral services of Harold D. Whisenhunt, 82, of Park Hill, will be 10:00 AM Monday, October 25 in the Green Country Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Garner Garrison. Serving as pall bearers are David Watts, Tyler Carver, Bully Elkins, Allen Watts, Marty Wofford, and Perry Jordan. Interment will be 1:00 in the Triplett Cemetery, Texanna, OK. Born at Eufaula on Feb. 15, 1928, the son of Dee and Iva (McGuire) Whisenhunt, Harold was a life long resident of OK. He died in Gore, OK on October 21, 2010. He worked in Jelly Production for Griffin Foods. His career there was greater than 25 years. Harold has been preceded in death by his parents, brothers Bruce and Herman, and his first wife Marilyn Ott Whisenhunt. Surviving him are his wife Rosie of the home; daughter Doris Harshfield and her husband Wayne of Ft. Gibson, OK; eight grandchildren including his step grandson Brian Harshfield; sister Neva Dee Phillips, and brother Ernie Whisenhunt both of Checotah, OK. He was known as Papa by several nieces and nephews, Tyler and Megan Carver, Blake, Aiden, Chase, and Colton Watts, and Austin Elkins.
