Mary Christine Soderberg (1926-2010)

ODESSA Mary Christine Soderberg, age 84, passed away Monday, October 18, 2010, at Tanglewood Village in Lubbock, Texas.

She was born July 18, 1926, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to her parents, Jay and Mattie Rowell Whisenhunt.

She married her beloved "Swede" Harry A. Soderberg on Aug 3, 1949. She was happily married for 42 years.

She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Risen Lord, attending pastor Otterness' Bible studies, sponsored the youth group and taught Sunday school.

She is survived by her daughter, Carol Ann Acreman and husband Paul of Ransom Canyon, Texas; her beloved grandson, John Paul Acreman; and her beloved granddaughter, Amanda June Acreman, both of Lubbock, Texas. She always said she knew why they were called "grand" children, because they truly were. She always let them know she didn't just love them, she adored them.

Family visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 19, 2010, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, October 20, 2010, at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
