William Monroe "Billy" Whisnant

GRANITE FALLS - William "Billy" Monroe Whisnant, 55, of Connelly Springs, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2010, at his residence. He was born May 14, 1955, in Catawba County to the late Bobby Whisnant and Constance Boyd Whisnant. Survivors include three sisters, Marcie Anderson of Hickory, Regina Kuchta and husband, Matt, of Summerville, S.C., Robbie Rice and husband, Billy, of Hickory; one brother, Charles Whisnant and wife, Wanda, of Hickory; and a number of nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Friday, Sept. 17, 2010, at 2 p.m. at the residence of Robbie and Billy Rice, 504 33rd St.. SW, Hickory, with Pastor Ricky Cooke officiating. Memorials may be made to the family in care of Bass-Smith Granite Funeral Service, P.O. Box 1063, Granite Falls, N.C. 28630. Bass-Smith Granite is serving the family of William Monroe Whisnant.
