David Eli Whisenhunt

David Eli Whisenhunt, age 65, a resident of Gillham, AR, died Friday, December 17, 2010 in Texarkana, TX.

He was born July 26, 1945 in Nashville, AR. He was a diesel mechanic, a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the Grannis Baptist Church.

Mr. Whisenhunt was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Dora Mangus Whisenhunt; two brothers and one sister.

He is survived by his wife, Janie Pollard Whisenhunt of Gillham, two sons and a daughter-in-law, Brent and Joleen Whisenhunt of Smithville, OK and Daniel Whisenhunt of Gillham; one granddaughter, Jacey Whisenhunt; two brothers, Gene and Charlie Whisenhunt both of Gillham and one sister, Inez Parks of Wickes, AR.

Memorial Services for Mr. Whisenhunt will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 21, 2010 in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel in De Queen, AR with Rev. Homer Frachiseur officiating.
