Eva Mae Scott Whisonant

LORMAN - Services for Eva Mae Scott Whisonant, 82, of Fayette, who died Tuesday, July 10, 2001, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. Sunday at Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Jesse Brown officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home of Fayette.
Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Whisonant was born May 26, 1919, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Willie Scott and Lucinda Davis Scott.
She was a retired licensed practical nurse for Michigan General Hospital and a member and mother of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Whisonant was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Whisonant; her parents; one son, Sylvester Gaines Jr.; one grandson, Glenn Arthur Hooker Jr.; and one granddaughter, Angelia Michelle Dorsey.
Survivors include two sons and their wives, McKinley and Rita Scott of Harriston and Glenn and Joann Arthur of Gary, Ind.; three daughters and their husbands, Katherine Bailey, Mary D. and Willie Jackson, all of Lorman, and Delores Hooker and Jeffery Bussey of College Park, Ga.; 23 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Ed Henry Scott of Winnfield, La.; one sister, Rosie Williams of Muskegon, Mich.; two aunts, Daisy Smith of Vicksburg and Mary Davis of Lorman; one sister-in-law, Viola Scott of Vicksburg; and a number of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Leon Scott, Cornelius Bailey, Richard Bailey, Frank Bailey, Raymond Dorsey, Gregory Dorsey, Kregory Dorsey, Ronald Dearing and Nathaniel Gaines.
Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church.
