Grover Whisenhunt

LEVELLAND Services for Grover Whisenhunt, 79, of Levelland will be at 2 p.m. today at George C. Price Funeral Chapel with Doug Vance officiating.

Burial will be in Littlefield Memorial Park under the direction of George C. Price Funeral Directors.

He died on Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2000, in Levelland Nursing Home.

He was born on Oct. 24, 1921, in Paducah. He married Lucille Whisenhunt on Jan. 25, 1946, in Plainview. They moved to Levelland in 1952, and he was employed by Piggly Wiggly and Safeway.

They moved to Lubbock for awhile and returned to work at Haskins Grocery. They then spent 20 years in Lamesa, moving back in 1988 after his retirement. He was a butcher. He later worked for Wal-Mart in Levelland. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife; a brother, John of Andrews; and two sisters, Mavis Green of Wildorado and Beatrice Atkins of Amarillo.
