S. T. Whisenant Dies From Pneumonia Attack Wednesday
S. T. Whisenant, farmer of Rt. Two, Winnfield, died at his home Wednesday night at 9 o'clock, following an illness with pneumonia, for about thirty days. It was thought that Mr. Whisenant was improving, but Wednesday afternoon his condition became worse and he succumbed that night.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ola Gorham Whisenant; two daughters, Mrs. Jessie Mae Bearden, Urania, and Mrs. Lee Ether Lowery, Winnfield, Route Four; and five sons, Detroy, A. T., Arles, Arlen, and Ray, all of Winnfield, one brother, Will Whisenant of Bossier, and two half brothers, John Adkins of Shreveport and Robert Adkins of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon.
