Manuel T. Whisenant

Mr. Manuel T. Whisenant was born on July 24, 1922 in Joppa Alabama to Timothy and Nancy Perkins Whisenant. He served in the United States Army in 2nd Armor Division in Europe. He served as Farm Extension Agent in Cullman, Marion and DeKalb County for 30 years. Mr. Whisenant passed away on Tuesday March 1, 2011 at Morningside Assisted Living in Cullman Alabama at the age of 88. Funeral services will be held on Friday March 4, 2011 at 4:00 P.M. at Moss Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Cullman City Cemetery with Bro. James Pilgrim and Bro. Russ Whisenant officiating. He is preceded in death by his loving wife: Nellie Whisenant. He is survived by: 1 Daughter: Emily (Stan) Chism, 2 Sons: Phillip (Donna) Whisenant, Larry (Bea) Whisenant, 1 Brother: Leon (Helen) Whisenant, 1 Sister: Christine Hosch, Grandchildren: Matthew (Margaret) Whisenant, Russell (Corrine) Whisenant, Bethany (Josh) Jackson, Daniel Whisenant, Jennifer Chism, Heather (Jeremiah) Cornelson, Amber Chism, 6 Great Grandchildren: Sheila Whisenant, Lee Whisenant, Celeste Whisenant, Samuel Cornelson, Abby Whisenant and Thomas Blubaugh. Visitation will be held on Thursday March 3, 2001 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Moss Funeral Home at 1901 2nd Ave. N.W., Cullman, Alabama 35055.
