Grady Whisenant

Grady Eugene Whisenant 54, of Scottsboro died Friday April 15, 2011 at UAB. He served as pastor of Unity Baptist Church of Section, Alabama.

Mr. Whisenant is survived by wife Eva Whisenant of Scottsboro, son Joshua (Valerie) Whisenant of Bridgeport, daughters Mandy (Allen) Holcomb and April (Jeremy) Williams of Scottsboro, Mother Mary Sue Holt of Scottsboro, 11 grandchildren, sisters Lisa (Chuck) Nelson of Scottsboro and Shelia Lemons of Swearengin and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by father Charles “Buck” Holt, son Nickalus Whisenant, daughter Amy Whitehead and Denise Seabolt, granddaughter Kimberly Loudermilk and grandson Jeffery Claridy.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Sunday at Scottsboro Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Pace officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 5 until 9 pm at Scottsboro Funeral Home.
