Eleanor E. Whisenant

ELEANOR E. WHISENANT LAKE STATION, IN Eleanor E. Whisenant, age 85 of Lake Station, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2011. She was born March 3, 1926 in Elvins, MO to Ruth and Julius Wader. Eleanor was a resident of the area since 1989, returning from Missouri. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. Eleanor is survived by her four sons: David Brown of Hobart, Gary Brown of Portage, Brian Whisenant of Chesterton and Robert (Tammy) Whisenant of Lake Station; seven grandchildren: Christopher, Eric, Jennifer, Amy, Jacob, Matthew and Connie; four great grandchildren; one brother; four sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews. Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, Monroe P. Whisenant; her son, James Brown; and her parents. Private family services were held. Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel handling arrangements.
