Minnie L. Arwood

Minnie Lee Whisenhunt Arwood, 84, 140 Arwood Hill Road, Hampton, died Tuesday, July 23, 2002, at her residence.

Mrs. Arwood was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late Isaac and Lillie Royal Whisenhunt. She was also preceded in death by a son, Larry Allen Arwood, a sister, Millie Tester, a brother, Willie Whisenhunt, and a granddaughter, Amy Kathryn Arwood.

Mrs. Arwood was a homemaker and a member of Hampton First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Jess Willard Arwood; three daughters and sons-in-law, Sue and George Hickman, Donaldson, Tenn., Joan and Bobby Morgan and Sherry and Billy Smith, all of Hampton; a son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Ermine Arwood, Elizabethton; and five brothers, Carmon Whisnant, Hampton, Harry Whisnant and Nova Whisenhunt, both of Elizabethton, Reno Whisenhunt, Roan Mountain, and David Whisnant of California. Nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren also survive.

Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
