Anne Abbott Moore

LENOX— Anne Elizabeth Abbott Lynch Moore, 74, of Lenox, died Monday, Sept. 8, 2008 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors with the Rev. Jimmie Hinson and the Rev. Dillard Ensley officiating. Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery.

Born Dec. 3, 1933, in Tift County, Mrs. Moore was the daughter of the late Benjamin Hill Abbott and Mary Bolton Abbott. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Lee Moore, one grandson, Andrew Thompson, two sons-in-law, Dwain Meeler and Lamar “Doc” Blunt and her mother, Lillian Abbott Melton.

Mrs. Moore, a homemaker, had lived all of her life in Tift and Cook counties. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Tifton. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, embroidering and fishing. She also enjoyed people, her grandchildren, and family gatherings.

Mrs. Moore is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Roy and Barbara Lynch and Frankie Lynch, all of Lenox; two daughters and one son-in-law, Faye and Jimmy Thompson of Norman Park and Mary Meeler and friend, Roy Scarborough of Lenox; one brother, Bobby Manley of Apopka, Fla.; grandchildren, Janie B. and Chad Smith, Brooke and Carl Hancock, Jesse Lynch, Jamie and Wendy Thompson, Ashley and Nathan Lane, Jon Thompson and Matt Thompson; and great-grandchildren, Lauren, Austin and Lexy Smith and Carter and Emily Rose Thompson.
