Services Held Wednesday For G.T. Whisnant

George Thomas ( Andrew) Whisnant passed away March 29th in Houlka. Services were held Wednesday afternoon at Pine Bluff with the Rev. C.E. Burden of Winona, Rev. James Moody & Rev. Dryle Mitchell of Houlka officiating.

Burial was in the church cemetery with Houlka Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Whisnant was born March 14, 1881 in Montgomery Co. He was a member of the Southside Baptist Church in Winona.

He is survived by 2 sons, Luther Whisnant of Jackson, Estell Whisnant of Houlka; 2 daughters, Miss Alberta Whisnant & Miss Mattie Pearl Whisnant, both of Houlka; 3 sisters, Mrs. Durell Nolan & Miss Addie Rogers, Houlka, Mrs. Willie Sanders of Vicksburg; 8 grandchildren & 12 great grandchildren.

Burial: Pine Bluff Cemetery, Poplar Creek, Montgomery Co., MS
