Dale Sterling Whisenant

Dale Sterling Whisenant 71, of Myrtle Creek, Ore., died Dec. 23 in a Roseburg hospital.

He was born Dec. 11, 1905 in Glenwood but lived in Myrtle Creek since 1947. He was married to Rose Martin June 12, 1948, in Myrtle Creek. He had worked as a carpenter with the South Umpqua School District for 15 years.

Survivors include his widow; three daughters Mrs. Paul McGrew of Glenwood, Mrs. Elmer Snyder of Anniston, Ala., and Mrs. Bill Burks of Benton; one son Max of Vallejo, Calif., one brother Curt Whisenant of Myrtle Creek; 10 grand children; and six great grandchildren.

Services were Dec. 26 with the Rev. John Wood of the United Methodist Church of Myrtle Creek officating. Burial was in Myrtle Creek IOOF Cemtery.
