Elizabeth Whisenant

Elizabeth "Libby" Norman Whisenant age 49 of Dallas passed away on August 19, 2011 at Gaston Memorial Hospital, Gastonia. She was born September 11, 1961 in Gaston County daughter of the late Lonnie Jackson Norman Sr and Gerene Barnett Norman Cooper.

Elizabeth was a member of Mountain View Free Will Baptist Church of Dallas. She was employed at The Waffle House of Belmont and also worked at The Pancake House in Gastonia for several years. A funeral service will be 2:00 on Thursday at Mt. View Free Will Baptist Church, Dallas, officiated by Rev. Daris Curry, Rev. Don Payne and Rev. Leo Kuykendall . The family will receive friends 6-8pm on Wednesday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel. Interment will be at Hollywood Cemetery.

She is survived by: husband, Glenn Whisenant of the home; sons, Travis Norman and Michael Darnell; brother and sister in-law, Jacky and Donna Norman; sisters and brother in-law, Debbie and Johnny Welch and DeAnna Williams; brother in-law and spouse, Jack and Jeanine Funderburk; sister in-law and spouse, Jan and Bob Whisenant; eight nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: stepfather, William "Bill" Cooper.
