Floyd Earl Whisenhunt

Floyd Earl Whisenhunt, 69, of Greenville, died Monday, October 24, 2011 at his home. Memorial services will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Whisenhunt was born in Eufaula, Oklahoma on January 8, 1942. He was the son of George Whisenhunt and Mamie Waters Whisenhunt. On February 20, 1967, he married Sharon Eddings in Amarillo. He served his country as a U. S. Army Air Bourne Ranger. He was a member of DAV, Chapter 81 and a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Whisenhunt of Greenville; sons, Steven Whisenhunt of Greenville, Tracy Whisenhunt of Arlington and Kenneth Wayne Whisenhunt of Grand Prairie; brother, George Whisenhunt, Jr. of Ore City; sister, Ruthie Applegate of Ore City; grandchildren, Briana Whisenhunt of Arlington and Adriana Whisenhunt of Grand Prairie. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
