Sue Edwards

GRANITE FALLS Sue Whisnant Edwards, 89, of Granite Falls, passed away Friday, May 4, 2012 at Lutheran Home Hickory. Born July 28, 1922 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Clyde Whisnant, and Eula Guthrie Whisnant. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Thelma W. Flack, Margaret W. Truitt, Polly Whisnant, and Patricia W. Howard. She is survived by one daughter, Jackie E. Edwards and husband Terry of Granite Falls; one son, Jim Edwards and wife Beverly of Hickory; three grand-sons, David Edwards and wife Telitha, Brad Edwards and wife Amy, and Allen Deal and wife Amanda; and five great-grandchildren, Riley Edwards, Colby Edwards, Cassi Edwards, James Edwards, and Parker Deal. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, May 6, at 3 p.m. at Pinecrest Cemetery with Dr. Robert B. Evans officiating. Bass-Smith Granite is serving the family of Sue Whisnant Edwards.
