Wilson — Funeral Services for Mrs. Beatrice (Whisenhunt) Blodgett, 81, of Wilson are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson with Dr. Alton Fannin officiating. Interment will follow at Reck Cemetery in Wilson. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.

Beatrice was born September 9, 1929, at Rubottom [carter co., ok] to the late Mr. Grady Buck Whisenhunt and Mrs. Eunice Irene (Martin) Whisenhunt. She departed this life Friday March 11, 2011, at Ardmore, Okla.

Bea was raised south of Wilson [carter co., ok] attending school at Blackjack and Simon. She married Mr. John Lester Blodgett September 29, 1944, at Wilson. They lived south of Wilson on their farm all of their lives together farming and ranching together.

She enjoyed listening to Sunday radio ministries by Dr. Alton Fannin of the First Baptist Church of Ardmore every Sunday morning and evening. She also enjoyed listening to classic country music and was always of the Baptist Faith.

Preceding her in death is her parents; husband, John, August 21, 2005; brother, Joe Nipp; son, Charles E. Blodgett, August 25, 2001; grandson, Cpl. Clinton Coy Blodgett, May 26, 2007.

Survivors include sons, Jim Blodgett and wife, Minnie of Wilson, Jack Blodgett and wife, Ronda of Ringling; daughters, Linda Sanders of Wilson, Margie Shepard and husband, Donald of Wilson, and Anna Blodgett and Billy VanBuskirk of Lone Grove; sisters, Lucy Tadlock and husband, Homer of Wilson, and Morine Waller of Wilson; brother, Royce Whisenhunt and wife, JoAnn of Marlow; special angel baby, Jacobi; and numerous other grandchildren; great grandchildren; and great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Randy Shepard, Don Blodgett, Shawn Sanders, James Newell, Levi Shepard, Dale Vernon, Jaime Blodgett and Jody Blodgett.

Honorary bearers will be grandchildren.

Family visitation will be Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home in Wilson.
