Beadie Paschall
MORGANTON Beadie Whisenant Paschall, 93, formerly of the Oak Hill community, died Tuesday, June 5, 2012. She was born in Burke County Aug. 24, 1918, and was a daughter of the late Vance Whisenant and Sudie Ledbetter Whisenant. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Paschall was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Marvin Paschall, Sr., and by sisters, Nettie W. Benton, Mittie W. Burkett and Ruby W. Paschall. Mrs. Paschall was employed at Huffman Hosiery and Skyland Textiles and was a retired employee of the Burke County School system. She was a life-long and faithful member of Quaker Meadows Presbyterian Church, where she served as president of the Women of the Church and received the Honorary Life Membership Award; she also taught the Young Adult Sunday School class. Surviving are her son, J. Marvin Paschall, Jr. and wife, Dorothy, of Morganton; grandchildren, Jesse Marvin Paschall, III and wife, Laura, Susan Anita Woodall, and husband, Gary and Benton O'Neal Paschall and wife, Joan; eight great-grand-children; two great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 10, at Quaker Meadows Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Linda Amos officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday at the church, one hour before the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Quaker Meadows Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 2698 NC Hwy 181, Morganton, NC 28655. Sossoman Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
