Billy Ray "Bill" Whisenant

Billy Ray "Bill" Whisenant, 75, of Colonial Beach passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at home.

Bill was born in Lenoir, N.C., and had retired as a stonemason.

He is survived by a daughter, Sherry Pfost of Bristow; two sons, Ricky Whisenant of Dumfries and Johnny Whisenant of Colonial Beach; three sisters; four brothers; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 16, at Nash & Slaw Funeral Home, King George. The service will begin at 2 p.m., with the Rev. John Penny officiating.

Interment will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 18, at Mount Comfort Cemetery, Alexandria.
