Tammy Alicia Whisenant, 46, of Lynn entered into rest on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at her residence.
She was born on December 13, 1965. Mrs. Whisenant was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. She graduated from Hackleburg High School in 1984. She loved to play with her puppy Gracie. Tammy enjoyed making jewelry, helping people with their problems, and making people laugh.

"My mother was full of life, she helped anyone that needed help. She could make most people smile and laugh when they were down about anything. She would always tell me about how she would do anything and everything for us three kids. Tara, Justin, and I loved our mother very much and we would do anything for her no matter what it was. We all love and miss her very much and she would always forgive us for anything wrong we ever did. She was a very forgiving person, loving mother and wife. She will never be forgotten." She is survived by her son, Justin Whisenant; daughters, Tara (Josh) Moncrief, Jessica Whisenant; brothers, Hugh Don Whisenant, Doyle (Rosa) Whisenant; also, Diane, Carl, Tasha Schlagenhauf, and Matthew and Chris Williamson. She was "Grandmaw" to Elizabeth and Jeremiah Moncrief.

She was preceded in death by her husband of five years, Paul McGinnis; parents, Verdie (Ethel) Whisenant; brother, Anthony Whisenant; brother-in-laws, Patrick McGinnis and Tony McGinnis.
