Louise "Whiz" Henard
WELLINGTON - Louise "Whiz" Henard, 87, died Wednesday, May 28, 2008.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ricky Carstensen, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery by Adams Funeral Home.
Mrs. Henard was born Nov. 19, 1920, in Hays County to Jake and Anabel Mansolo Whisenant. She married John Robert Henard Jr. on June 6, 1945, in Arlington. He died in 1999.
She attended the University of Texas and graduated from West Texas A & M University. She taught elementary school at East Ward and had worked at Wellington Livestock Commission with her husband. She was a former bookkeeper for Henard Bros. Equipment, a lifetime census worker and a member of First United Methodist Church. She was active in her children's activities. In later years, she was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, Johnny Henard of Wellington; a daughter, Anne Langford of Wellington; six granddaughters; and eight great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Home Delivered Meals, 1001 Amarillo St., Wellington, TX 79095-3213.
