Mollie Whisenhunt Casner

Mollie Casner, 61, of Nampa, ID passed away peacefully at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, UT on February 1, 2013.

She was born to Marvin & Mary Whisenhunt in Florence, AZ on March 9, 1951. Mollie was raised and attended school in Coolidge, AZ. After high school, she moved to Phoenix and worked for Motorola until she moved to Idaho to be closer to her mother and sister.

On her 24th birthday she gave birth to her only child, Cynthia Lynn. She married Lee Casner on June 22, 1977 in Nampa. She was a beloved wife, mother, grammy, sister, aunt, great-aunt, and friend. She loved spending time with her grandson, Ricky, going camping, and traveling to the Oregon coast.

She worked at Brown Bus Co. for the last 30 years, first as a bus driver, then as route supervisor, and finally as assistant dispatcher.

Mollie is survived by her husband, Lee Casner; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy & Rick Piersol; grandson, Ricky Piersol; sister and brother-law, Ruby & Dave Lamb; brother, Mearl "Butch" Whisenhunt; aunt, Christine Whitney; several nieces & nephews; stepsons, Joe (Michelle) Casner, Tim Casner, Ron Casner and Gary Casner; and stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Marvin "Pete" Whisenhunt, and an infant sister.

The family would like to thank Dr. Reid and the staff from Intermountain Medical Center for the wonderful care that she received during her lengthy stay.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, February 9, 2013 at the College Church of the Nazarene, 504 E. Dewey Ave., Nampa. Burial will follow at Kohlerlawn Cemetery. There will be a gathering afterward at Brown Bus Company, 2111 E. Sherman Ave, Nampa.

Services are under the direction of the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel.
