Mrs. Nancy Loretta Thorne, 56, passed away at her home in Steele, Mo. on Wednesday, February 6, 2013. Mrs. Thorne was born July 9, 1956, in Steele.

She was united in marriage to Donnie Thorne in 1973 in Holland, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Coy Whisnant; three brothers, Danny Whisnant Sr., Sid White and Joe White and by one sister, Betty Britt.

She leaves behind her husband, Donnie; one daughter, Betty Jean Rash; four sons, Tobi Thorne, Jason Thorne, Scott Kennedy and Israel Whisnant; one sister, Geraldine Westbrook; two brothers, Butch and Billy; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many relatives and friends.

Services were conducted February 9, 2013 at the John W. German Funeral Home in steele with Rev. Terry Miller officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Zion cemetery in Steele.

Pallbearers were Tobi Thorne, Dan Thorne, Donnie Jackson, Scott Kennedy and Mark White.

John W. German Funeral Home of Steele was in charge of arrangements.
