Services at Bethlehem For B. E. Whisnant

Funeral services were held Monday, May 24th at 4:00 o'clock at Bethlehem Church near Lenox for Ben Erwin Whisnant 65 years of age who died at his home in the county on May 17th. He had been ill for several months for a heart condition.

He was born June 13, 1888 in Walton County, a son of Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Whisnant. He lived in Gwinnett County before moving to Cook County about 23 years ago, where he was a prominent farmer in his community.

Rev. Banks Allen, Mr. Register and Mr. Eldridge officiated at the services, assisted by a choir.

Pallbearers were: Sntder Robinson, J. C. Walker, Lawrence Rutland, B. R. Franks, Grady Lynch, and L. B. Guy.

He is survived by his wife the former Clara Brooks, and the following children: a daughter, Mrs. Allen Denby of Leesburg, Fla.; and four sons, Ben Whisnan, Jr., Lenox; Jack Whisnant, Dade City, Fla.; A. C. Whisnant, Tifton; John Whisnant of Norman Park.

Mr. and Mrs. Ed Whisnant of Newborn, Georgia attended the funeral.
