Edna Gray Whisenhunt Miller
PINNACLE, NC ~ Edna Gray Miller, 73, of Pinnacle went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Sept. 30, 2007, at Forsyth Medical Center.
She was born in Forsyth County on July 26, 1934, to the late Thomas W. and Mary Keaton Whisenhunt.
Mrs. Miller worked and retired after 35 years of service from Eckerd Drug Parkway Plaza and Sally Beauty Supply. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, a caring sister and was of the Christian faith.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband Talbert Miller; two daughters, Rogie M. Fisher and Judy M. Simmons; and a sister, Annie Williams.
She is survived by her companion of the home, Jim McCoy; a son, the Rev. Allan and Laura Beamon of King; three daughters, Diane and Ken White of Hickory; Sherry and Mark Collins of Germanton; and Gail Royal of Elkin; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty and Alvin Beck of Lowgap and Peggy and Larry Sparks of Winston-Salem.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, at Mount Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Allan Beamon officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Oct. 2, at Cox Needham Funeral Home in Pilot Mountain. Cox-Needham Funeral Home of Pilot Mountain is assisting the Miller family.
