Maxine Elizabeth Whisnant

Augusta, Ga. - On July 15, 2013 Maxine Elizabeth Whisnant, 73, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family to join her Heavenly Father. Maxine was born on September 23, 1939 in Augusta, Georgia where she remained until her death. She married Charles Whisnant on 22 Dec 1956... Maxine is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Emma Willis and her brother Charles Willis. Maxine is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, Charles E. Whisnant; her children: Rosbie Whisnant and wife Carolyn King-Whisnant and Regina Daniel and husband Jeff Daniel; her grandchildren: Jeffrey (Michelle) Daniel, Justin (Tasha) Daniel, Christopher Daniel, Trisha Foster, Jeffery (Tamar) King, William King and Benjamin Whisnant; Great-grandchildren Elizabeth Foster, Reese Foster, Alexis Daniel, Mary Kate Daniel, Ty King, Taylor Murdock, Khaylie Wendel, Brayden Dinger, Bostyn Dinger, Bryson Dinger and Bella Dinger; and her sisters, Linda (Bill) Brown and Ann Rosier and Janice (Wayne) Turner.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 20, 2013, at Sherwood Baptist Church, Augusta, Ga., with the Rev. Justin Daniel officiating. Interment will follow in the Harlem Memorial Cemetery.
