Billy Whisnant

HEPHZIBAH, Ga. - Mr. Billy Ray Whisnant, 67, of Hephzibah, GA, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at Burke County Medical Center. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 3pm in the Lumpkin Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home. A lifelong resident of the Augusta area, he was the son of the late Morris Whisnant and Hazel Garland Whisnant. He enjoyed working on cars, fishing, and hunting. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Whisnant, brothers, Wayne Whisnant, Johnny Whisnant, and Vaughn Whisnant. He is survived by his children, Charles Whisnant, Diane Larsen, Debra Riddell, Dawn Gallop, sisters, Mary Ann Wilkens, Joyce Wiggins, nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family will receive friends at the funeral home after the service.
