Gaynor Sue Frazier Whisnant

Gaynor Sue Whisnant, age 83, of 2457 Broad Street went to be with the Lord Saturday, January 22, 2005, in the Bristol Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Whisnant was born on February 17, 1921, in Blacksburg, Virginia, to the late Jessie and Lenia Barnett Frazier.

She had lived most of her life in the Bristol area, was a homemaker, and of the Baptist Faith.

Mrs. Whisnant was preceded in death by two husbands, Tom Knowles, and Bill Whisnant, one step son and daughter-in-law, David Knowles and wife Marie, two brothers, Frank Frazier, and Jessie Frazier, and two sisters, Violet Fricker, and Daisy Slagle.

Mrs. Whisnant is survived by:

Two Step Sons: Thomas W. Knowles and wife Agnes, of Indian Trail, N.C.
Rufus L. Knowles and wife Gail, of Floresville, TX
Seven Grandchildren
Twelve Great Grandchildren
One Great Great Grandchild
Two Special Nieces: Nannie Fields, of Bristol, TN
Mary Gilmer, of Bristol, VA
Several Nieces and Nephews

Funeral service for Mrs. Gaynor Sue Whisnant will be held Monday, January 24, 2005, at 1:00 P.M. in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Scott Price officiating.

Burial will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Nephews and Grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 12 until 1:00 P.M. in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel.
