Edgar Eugene Whisenhunt

Edgar Eugene Whisenhunt age 77, of Winston Salem, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2013 at his home.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, October 27, 2013 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens of Winston Salem with Pastor Eric Goff.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm prior to the service at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel.

Edgar was born May 2, 1936 in Forsyth County to John Whisenhunt and Lettie Logan Whisenhunt. He retired from Whisenhunt's Garage and was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Frank Whisenhunt and Buck Whisenhunt, sister; Evelyn Franklin.

Surviving are his wife of 57 years Betty Key Whisenhunt of the home, son; Steven Edward Whisenhunt (Michele) of Winston Salem, daughters; Cindy Whisenhunt Fowler (Shawn) of Lexington and Karen Whisenhunt Holland of Yadkinville, brother; Robert "Shot" Whisenhunt of Winston Salem, grandchildren; his pride and joy Haley and Ashley.

Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is assisting the family.
