Bertie Jane Parker, age 66, of Smithville, Oklahoma died Saturday, November 9, 2013 at the Peachtree Hospice at Fort Smith. She was born on Friday, July 11, 1947 to A.D. and Alma Collincheck Whisenhunt in Brushy Ridge, Oklahoma.

Bertie loved living in the country and enjoyed taking care of her farm raising her goats and chickens. She enjoyed the great outdoors and spending time with her family. She loved to go fishing and going squirrel hunting. Bertie was a believer and was of the Church of Christ faith. Bertie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, and will be missed by all who knew him.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Bertie is survived by her husband, Bill Willis of Smithville, Oklahoma; one son, Chucky Willis of New Hope, Arkansas; two daughters, Crystal Willis of Ida Bell, Oklahoma and Debbie Ramsey of Moon, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Monday, November 11, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. of Bowser Family Funeral Home Chapel in Mena with Brother Vic Anglin officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Hatfield under the direction of Bowser Family Funeral Home in Mena. Visitation will be Sunday, November 10, 2013 from 6-8 P.M. at the Bowser Family Funeral Home Chapel in Mena.

Pallbearers will be Billy Plake, Johnny Perry, Jimmy Perry, Calvin Dean Fairless, Bobby Sharp and Chucky Willis.
