Debra Gail Smith Whisenant

AIKEN, S.C. - Funeral services for Debra Gail Whisenant, 64, of Aiken, will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at the Chapel of George Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday night at the funeral home. Mrs. Whisenant, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2013. Born in Pelion, she was a daughter of Catherine Bolin Smith and the late Thomas Cellus Smith. Mrs. Whisenant retired from BAE Systems, and in her free time, she enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with her great-grandchildren who were the love of her life. She was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Wayne Smith. Survivors include her loving husband, Robin Whisenant of Aiken; sons, Thomas L. Kelly (Greta) of Couchton, SC and Bradley W. Kelly of Aiken; sisters, Corrie Riddle (Roddy) of Leesville, Elaine Still (Floyd) of Williston and Linda Wood (Randy) of Aiken; a brother, Steve Smith (Joyce) of Aiken; grandchildren, Kristen Swanson of Myrtle Beach, Caroline Kelly of Aiken and Shane Kelly of Couchton and two great-grandchildren, Emily & Casey Swanson of Graniteville.
