FARMER DIES IN A FIELD
Bloomington, Oct. 4. - Columbus C. Whisenand, one of the leading and well to do farmers near Harrodsburg, in the south part of this county, dropped dead while walking with his son Dell over his farm. He was the owner of two big farms. He leaves two sons and one daughter.

While walking over his farm yesterday afternoon with his son, Dell, Columbus Whisenand, known as "Lum", suddenly dropped dead. He was stricken with paralysis several months ago and had been failing in health since that time. Three or four years ago he was driving on the streets in the city when his vehicle collided with the American Express Company delivery wagon. Mr. Whisenand was thrown out and seriously hurt. He received liberal damages from the company through the courts. Mr. Whisenand was about 75 years old, and had resided three miles north of Harrodsburg for several years. His wife died several months [sic] ago and he is survived by two sons and one daughter. The deceased was a member of the Christian church at Clear Creek.
Funeral at two o'clock tomorrow at Clear Creek in charge of Rev. T. J. Clark.
