David L Whisenhunt
August 9, 1955 - January 21, 2014

David L. "Dave" Whisenhunt, 58, of Henderson, NV passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2014 in the loving arms of his beloved wife, Donna. Dave was born August 9, 1955, to Evelyn and Leonard Whisenhunt, in Wiesbaden, Germany at the 7100 USAF Hospital. He served in the US Navy during the Viet Nam war. Dave spent the majority of his working life building and repairing rock crushing plants and gold mining equipment. There wasn't a vehicle of any size he did not know how to repair and did. He was a member of NV Master Mechanics Assoc. since 1981. The last ten years of his life Dave spent building a thriving gate and property maintenance business catering to HOA's. Dave was a wonderful dedicated husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and devoted friend. Dave had a "Servant's Heart"! There is nothing that brought him greater satisfaction than giving of himself to others. Dave was preceded in death by his father, Leonard T. Whisenhunt. He is survived by his co-heart, Donna; mother, Evelyn L. Kennedy Whisenhunt; daughters, Tela Whisenhunt Burns and husband Roy of Elko NV, Mary Macke Ryder and husband Justin of Henderson; sons, Billy Whisenhunt and wife Ericka of Spring Creek (Ditch) NV, Tim Macke and wife Heather of Olympia, WA; grandchildren, Kammie and Kelsie Whisenhunt, Travis, Ty, Courtney, and Pamela Burns, Ciara, Tristan, and Stone Macke, Cassidy, Katlyn, Maya, and Bryson Ryder, James and Catherine Macke; great-grandchildren, Ivy Monreal, Madielyn and Mathew Macke; sister, Lena Wasserman; brother,Ronald Whisenhunt and wife Alisa of Moses Lake, WA; numerous nieces and nephews, and too many friends to count. Dave is also deeply missed by his furry friend, "Snouzer Beak" Bear. There will be no visitation or services per Dave's request. He did not wish to have anyone grieve his passing. Arrangements under the direction of Palm Boulder Highway Mortuary, Henderson, NV. There will be a day of celebration as family scatter his ashes in a very special area located in Spokane, WA later this year. If anyone would like to assist with expenses please send donation to wife. Dave is impossible to forget and will forever be missed. He is finally free of "__________" cars that drove him nuts!
