Funeral services for Darlene Whisenhant Mathisen, 63, of Houston, Texas, will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Beech Creek Assembly of God Church in Livingston, Texas with Rev. Don Goodwin, Rev. Neal Cooper, and Rev. John Link officiating. Interment will follow at Camp Ruby Cemetery in Polk County, Texas. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 PM, Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Darlene was born on January 22, 1951 in Livingston, Texas and passed away on February 2, 2014 in Houston, Texas. She worked as a Radiology Technician for Memorial Hermann Hospital. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lois Martin and Evelyn Florene (Hendrix) Whisenhant; and brother, William Whisenhant.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis Mathisen of Houston, Texas; sons, Richard Mathisen of Houston, Texas and Kris Mathisen of Windsor, New York; brother and sister-in-law, Bert and Mary Ellen Whisenhunt of Livingston, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Laverne and Marvin Taylor of Livingston, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Marvin Ray of Houston, Texas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
