Lucille Elizabeth Whisenant

Lucille Elizabeth Whisenant, 85, of Pilot Point, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2014 in Denton, TX. Lucille was born July 1, 1928 in Grayson County, TX to Chester and Rosie (Smith) Cook. She married Medford Marcus Whisenant, Jr. on July 14, 1945 in Pilot Point, TX.

Lucille was a member of the Denton County Genealogy Society, Metroplex Doll Club of Arlington, Irving Doll Club, United Federation of Doll Clubs, Madame Alexander Doll Club, and Pilot Point Eastern Star.

She is survived by her son, Michael Whisenant of Nocona; three daughters, Diane McKinney of Henderson, NV, Susie McKnight Brown of Denton, Jennie Hollar of Pilot Point; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Junior; son, Marcus Ray Whisenant; grandson, Richie Hollar; brother, Floyd Cook; three sisters, Doris Whiteley, Margaret Williams, Lela Bell Lay.

Visitation will be held 9:30AM-10:30AM, Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Slay Memorial Chapel of Pilot Point. A funeral service will be held at 10:30AM, Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Slay Memorial Chapel of Pilot Point with Rev. Luther Slay officiating.
