Harmon Whisenhunt
Harmon Whisenhunt 1941 - 2014 Harmon Lee Whisenhunt, 72, of Nederland, died Saturday, June 14, 2014. He was born on August 18, 1941, in Texarkana, Arkansas, to Delphine Elizabeth Whitsitt Whisenhunt and Ledus Whisenhunt. Harmon was a United States Navy veteran and had retired after thirty-seven years from Entergy as an Electronics Technician. He was an avid member of the APA Pool League and Past Commander of the American Legion Bridge City Post 250. Harmon loved the outdoors, fishing, and hunting. Survivors include his fiancé, JoAnn Lane of Nederland; children, Deanna Whisenhunt of Port Neches; Tommy Whisenhunt and his wife Stephany of Nederland; and Jon Whisenhunt of Vidor; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister; and two brothers. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Joyce Whisenhunt. A gathering of Mr. Whisenhunt's family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at Broussard's, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A graveside service with Military Honors will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, 3098 U.S. 69, Nederland.
