COMMERCE, Ga. - Mrs. Helen Marie McDaniel Whisant, 57, of Commerce, formerly of Greensboro, N.C., died Wednesday at BJC Hospital.

Funeral will be 2:30 p.m. today at Emanuel Baptist Church with burial in Jackson Memorial park.

Surviving are husband, Nathaniel Whisant; daughter Mrs. Martha Jean Wilson of Greensboro; son, James Boyd of Athens, Ga., Michael Welchel of Greensboro; sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Smith, Mrs. Lillian Harris, Mrs. Thelma Jones, Mrs. Frances Johnson, Mrs. Hazel Long and Mrs. Mary Duggins of Greensboro, Mrs. Ruby Hill of Burlington, N.C. Mrs. Ethel Evans of Salisbury; seven grandchildren.
