William Doyle Whisenhunt

Son of Joe Whisenhunt and Emma Elder Whisenhunt. He married Martha Ellen Gibbs on June 11, 1938 in Sims, Montgomery Co., Arkansas. They were the parents of three sons and two daughters, one daughter, Devra Ann, having died as an infant.

William and Martha were married for seventy-six years at the time of her death on August 17, 2014. William died exactly two months and three days later on October 20, 2014.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and great-great grandfather and was passionately loved by his family, extended family and friends. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans. He also served as pastor of the Evening Light Tabernacle Church for over 40 years.

He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law: one daughter and son-in-law. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Devra Ann.

He was the beloved "Papaw" to seven grandchildren and their spouses; he was the great grandfather of nine; and the great-great grandfather of three.

He also leaves one surviving sister of Sims, AR.
