Charlene Whisenant Warhurst

Granite Falls, NC- Barbara Charlene Whisenant Warhurst, age 60, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Caldwell Hospice & Palliative Care.

She was born in Caldwell County on January 16, 1954 to the late Lankie Lee Whisenant, Sr. and Barbara Knight Whisenant.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Lankie Lee Whisenant, Jr.

Charlene is survived by her children, Dodie Clark and husband, Joe of Hickory; Cyndi Cannon and husband, Dwayne of Granite Falls; Troy Warhurst and wife, Jeanna of Lenoir; sister, Cindy Mashburn and husband, John of Marion; brother, Danny Whisenant and wife, Anita of Wilmington; brother, Ricky Whisenant and wife, Julia of Hendersonville; grandchildren, Chancie Cannon; Alexis Cannon; Chris Warhurst; Matthew Warhurst and Joey Clark; and numerous nephews and a niece, whom she loved dearly.

A celebration of Charlene’s life will be held at Covenant Baptist Church in Baton on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at 3:00 PM with Reverend David Beane and Reverend Carl Hamm officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Mashburn, Mike Parson, Butch Greene, Wes Turner, Allen Summerlin and Danny Wilson.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 prior to the service at the church.
